UNEXPECTED BAMBOO COOKING IN DAVAO, AND A UNIQUE ROOT CROP HARVESTED AFTER FIVE YEARS!

Welcome back to Maragusan, Davao De Oro! This land locked Province in Davao Region is home to mountain communities, and in this video we find ourselves in a Barangay of Maragusan with some of my local Mansaka Tribe friends. There is a traditional wine made here in Maragusan, and in order to start the process... we had to harvest a unique root crop! It isn't ginger or tumeric... have you seen it before!?

From harvesting root crops, my friends prepared an incredible bamboo cooking meal! The Mansaka Tribe are famous for their bamboo cooking, and these pork and catfish dishes were incredible!
